CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTIFIED®

Sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity. At Eribel, we are actively committed to a circular economy by producing doors that are not only functional and aesthetic but also environmentally friendly. We are proud to be the first company in Belgium and the only manufacturer of interior joinery worldwide to have obtained the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze V4.0 certification for our Solidteq and Slimteq products. With this certification, we prove that these specific door concepts meet the highest sustainability standards and contribute to a greener future.

What is Cradle to Cradle Certified®?

Cradle to Cradle Certified® (C2C) goes beyond traditional recycling and ensures that products are fully reusable or can be safely broken down without harmful consequences. They are made from safe and healthy materials that have no negative impact on people and the environment and are sustainably produced with renewable energy and efficient water management. Additionally, they contribute to social justice by adopting ethical and responsible production processes. Thanks to this holistic approach, C2C products promote a circular economy where raw materials are continuously reused and waste is minimized.

Eribel & Cradle to Cradle Certified®

At Eribel, sustainability is at the heart of our focus. Our Solidteq and Slimteq door concepts are manufactured with respect for the environment, energy efficiency, and corporate social responsibility. In addition to the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze V4.0 certification for these products, we also have:

  • PEFC and FSC certifications – For responsible forest management and sustainable wood production.
  • Solar panels and green energy – For an energy-efficient production environment.

Our commitment to a circular economy does not stop at certifications. We continuously innovate to minimize the impact of our products and provide sustainable solutions for every construction project.

C2C in practice – project ZIN

A concrete example of our sustainable doors in action is the ZIN project, a redevelopment project in the North district of Brussels. This multifunctional complex of 110,000 m² includes offices, residences, restaurants, and shops. For this innovative project, we supplied Cradle to Cradle Certified® Solidteq and Slimteq door concepts that meet the strict sustainability requirements of the Flemish government.

Achieving C2C certification was a demanding process, requiring two years of intensive collaboration with the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The complexity of our doors, the diversity of materials, and the innovative production methods made this project a unique challenge. Nevertheless, we succeeded in creating one of the most complex C2C-certified products on the market.
