On 24 March 2022, the French manufacturer VD-Industry and its subsidiary Pyrométal joined the Belgian Haerens Group. With the acquisition of the French leader in high-security glazed joinery, Haerens Group and its entities Eribel and Meyvaert France strengthen their position to become the reference in the market of fire-rated, flame-rated, burglar-rated and bullet-proof glazed doors, partitions, frames and curtain walls in France and Belgium.
Haerens Group, a long-established family company based in Ghent, Belgium, with 220 employees, 20,000 m² of production space on several sites, and a turnover of 55 million in 2021, will strengthen VD Industry with the product offering of its subsidiary Eribel and its position in the French market.
VD-Industry, a family-owned company founded in 2003, with its subsidiary Pyrométal created in 2012, located in Saint-Michel-Sur-Meurthe and Valenton, with 65 employees on a 7,200 m² production site and turnover of 14 million Euros in 2021, will be able to expand its product and service offering by integrating Eribel's high security solutions.
The French company will continue to operate independently under the leadership of Olivier Schaal, who has been appointed Director of VD Industry and its subsidiary. It will be able to offer a complete range of steel, aluminium, pvc, wood and customised enclosure solutions, as well as a series of new high-security solutions.
Pyrométal and Meyvaert France will merge to create a new division called "Eribel Projects" to provide a complete service, with its own installation teams, and to guarantee the success of their French customers' projects. Vincent Carpentier, appointed Commercial Director of Eribel Projects, will be responsible for project activities in the combined entity.
Steven De Tollenaere, CEO of Haerens Group, says: "Gabriel Ferry, founder of VD-Industry, has succeeded in industrialising the design and production of steel joinery in an impressive way. The quality of the production tool combined with an outstanding team has been the key to VD-Industry's success. The Eribel teams are committed to continuing this great story from the Vosges for many years to come."
