A drop sill is a door closer that is invisibly attached to the bottom of a door. A mechanism causes the drop sill to automatically drop when the door is closed and to rise when the door is opened. Drop sills are used to keep out draughts, noise or smoke. They can be fitted to both interior and exterior doors.
